Chicago Loves Local is a free shop local campaign available to all 77 community areas in Chicago that is aimed at uplifting and supporting the local businesses that shape the vibrant neighborhoods within our city.

Support like a local - Our Business Service Organizations work hard to keep our community areas strong.

Founded in 1934, the Jefferson Park Chamber of Commerce was organized to advance the business, civic, and social interests of its members and enhance the welfare of the Jefferson Park community.

Led by Executive Director Bella Ventresca, the Chamber embodies "support local," offering resources to business owners, scholarships for students, and events that bring the community together.

The Albany Park Chamber of Commerce and the North River Commission strengthen the economic and community vitality of Albany Park, Irving Park, North Park, and Mayfair.

Executive Director Kay Villamin and her team improve quality of life through collaboration, engagement, and initiatives in housing, education, arts and culture, open spaces, and thriving neighborhood businesses.

Restoried Bookshop is an independent, Asian Americ

Restoried Bookshop is an independent, Asian American, family-owned bookstore in Chicago’s Albany Park neighborhood. Their mission is to build a more interconnected and empowered community rooted in history, creativity, and solidarity by amplifying the stories of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders, and other communities of color through the love of reading.

Founded in 2024, Restoried grew from a group of friends who had been organizing for immigrant rights since 2010. What began as a shared dream to ensure access to their communities’ stories and histories has now become a space for connection, imagination, and belonging.

Restoried Bookshop expands access to underrepresented narratives, diversifies reading lists, and fosters joy for readers of all ages. Whether you’re looking for history you didn’t learn in school, a gripping fantasy, an inspiring graphic novel, or a great read for kids, you’ll find it at Restoried.

Chicago Loves Local Weston’s Coffee & Tap Co. l

Chicago Loves Local

Weston’s Coffee & Tap Co. located at 4872 N Milwaukee is a true neighborhood gathering spot in Jefferson Park, offering locally roasted coffee, four ever-rotating craft beers on tap, fine wine, inventive cocktails, and a full breakfast and lunch menu.

Independently owned and operated by Nick Davis, Weston’s opened in December 2017 as the first coffee shop in Jeff Park. The idea was sparked by Nick and his wife, Jennifer, during their travels. The dream was simple: create a welcoming space where neighbors, commuters, and travelers could connect over great coffee, a pint of craft beer, or a freshly made sandwich, all under one roof.

Named after their firstborn son, Weston’s sits right across from the Jefferson Park Transit Center, serving thousands of daily commuters and locals alike. They proudly brew coffee from Chicago’s own Metropolis Coffee and serve donuts from family-owned Allegretti’s Bakery.

Cheers to community, coffee, and beer for everyone.

Chicago Loves Local is a new citywide campaign celebrating the people, places, and pride that make Chicago’s 77 community areas truly one of a kind. From neighborhood coffee shops to corner boutiques, these small businesses are the heart and soul of our city.

Leading up to Small Business Saturday on November 29, we will be highlighting the stories behind the small businesses: the dreamers, makers, and innovators who keep Chicago creative, connected, and strong.

The goals of 77 Reasons to Shop Local are simple:

• Shine a light on local businesses in all 77 of Chicago's community areas
• Educate consumers on how shopping small strengthens our city’s economy and culture
• Celebrate our shared identity while inspiring exploration across every corner of Chicago
• Provide free, scalable marketing support to uplift underserved small business corridors
