Andersonville Arts Weekend: October 14-16, 2016
For the 14th year, Andersonville is thrilled to celebrate many of the artists and designers who live and work in the neighborhood with Andersonville Arts Weekend!
Whether you’re venturing to Andersonville for the first time during our Arts Weekend kickoff, Night of 100 pARTies, a returning guest indulging in a leisurely Self-Guided Art Walk, or attending one of the many Arts Weekend events on Saturday and Sunday, we are thrilled to welcome you to the neighborhood for this weekend of free and exciting activities! This year, Arts Weekend showcases more than 30 of our local Andersonville businesses, over 90 artists and musicians, a block party with outdoor stage and music hosted by First Free, and special receptions throughout the weekend!
Farmers Market Arts Weekend Preview
Wednesday, October 12 | 3-7pm
Join us at the second to last Farmers Market of the season for a special Arts Weekend preview! Spotlight artist Jeff Lassiter will feature his original drawings and paintings for sale, as well as create live Caricature drawings for market guests! Make sure to stop by the booth to learn more about the Arts Weekend featured artists and musicians, as well as pick-up additional Arts Weekend materials.
Art Pop at 5438 – Arts Weekend Hub
For the first time during Andersonville Arts Weekend, we are thrilled to activate one of the neighborhood’s available-for-lease retail locations! Art Pop at 5438 is a pop-up gallery hosted by the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce at 5438 N Clark Street, available for lease. Serving as the Arts Weekend Hub, join us on Friday night, October 14, for the kick-off reception to Night of 100 pARTies, featuring seven unique artists, nine musicians, food samples from Farmers Market favorite Chutney Devis, and smoothie and coffee samples from neighborhood café, True North! All weekend, the hub will also serve as a location to meet guests and grab a few extra Arts Weekend brochures/maps before you venture out to explore the neighborhood.
